Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov excludes the link between the possible signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union and the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund on raising loan to Ukraine.

He said this in an interview with the Russian TV channel "Russia 24".

"It's all empty talks. The signing of the agreement will not affect our negotiations with the International Monetary Fund," Azarov said, responding to a question about whether there is a link between the Association Agreement with the EU and the negotiations with the IMF.

He noted that the IMF is an independent financial organization that is guided by its own criteria.
The PM added that the negotiations do not stop at the technical level.

"We expect that certain changes in the IMF position should come," Azarov continued.
