Students of 9th grades of Ukrainian comprehensive schools have begun to study the specialized course "Basics of Tax Knowledge", education minister Dmytro Tabachnyk said during the presentation of the course, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We present in all the schools of Ukraine the elective "Basics of Tax Knowledge". I think that this course will help someone to choose a profession in the future," Tabachnyk said.

According to him, the textbook for 9th grade, consisting of four sections, was prepared for the new elective course.

In turn, incomes and fees minister Oleksandr Klymenko said that now the textbooks for the 10th and 11th grades are being completed.

"Basic tax knowledge will help make the path to adulthood more conscious and clear. Today we are making a great investment in the future of Ukraine," he said.

The minister also said that at the end of the school year there will be held the final meeting with the presentation of the results of the new course.
