The Incomes and Fees Ministry of Ukraine is ready to abandon the introduction of 1-2% turnover tax because of the low support among businesses, minister Oleksandr Klymenko told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"With regards to the turnover tax, I think that this is not the way we should follow. The idea has little support. Some industry support it, others do not," he stressed.
Also, according to the minister, is necessary to study the feasibility of lowering the rate of value added tax. "It is necessary to determine whether the economy is ready to lower the tax rate, and whether the implementation of this provision is timely," Klymenko said
He noted that all of the tax changes, initiated by the Incomes and Fees Ministry, will be implemented only after consultation with the businesses.
