Arbuzov: Anti-raider commission already considered 70 complaints on takeovers

First deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov called on entrepreneurs, who have problems with doing business in Ukraine, to contact the anti-raider commission, he said during the first meeting of the interdepartmental commission on protection of investors' rights, combating illegal merger and takeover of enterprises.

"In the case of confirmation of raider seizure attempts, I guarantee to provide the necessary assistance," Arbuzov said.

According to him, the anti-raider commission has already processed 70 statements with damages estimated at from 300 million to 1 billion UAH.

The official said that in recent years thousands of corporate conflicts using raider schemes have taken place in Ukraine.

Arbuzov also said that since the resumption of its work, the Commission has already handled the statements and influenced the issues that are important to investors and to Ukraine.
