Foreign minister Leonid Kozhara believes that Ukraine’s approaching to the EU will help the country to become an important partner for Russia, according to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, citing an interview of Kozhara to the Jutarnji list Croatian newspaper.
He stressed that the most profitable course for Ukraine, which is located between the two integration organizations, is a pragmatic, intense and mutually beneficial relationship with everyone.
Kozhara said that the authorities are building a foreign policy based on the interests of citizens, who are more interested in further European integration, as well as the deepening of friendly relations with Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other partners in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
