As of today, more than 12 billion cubic meters of gas were pumped into the underground gas storages, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky stated, speaking in Parliament during the Hour of questions to the government, ForUm correspondent reports.
"I would like to inform you that as of September 1, 12 billion 200 million cubic meters of gas were pumped into the underground gas storages, including about 5.8 billion cubic meters of own gas. So we are fully provided with gas for the heating season," he said.
In addition, the minister said that a coal reserve is being created for thermal electric power station. According to him, it is planned that it will amount to 5.253 million tons on October 1, 2013.
