Oil transit to EU countries (Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic) through the oil pipeline system in Ukraine in January-July 2013 amounted to 8.916 million tons, which is 9.3% more than over the same period in 2012, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine informs.
According to the report, in July 2013 transit of oil to these countries increased in comparison with July 2012 by 29.2% - up to 1.449 million tons.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expects to increase the volume of oil transit to European Union countries by at least 5% compared to last year. Oil transit to EU countries (Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic) through the oil pipeline system of Ukraine in 2012 decreased by 18.1% compared to 2011 - up to 14.557 million tons.
