Monday, August 26, during a working visit to Moscow, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov intends to discuss with Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev ways of cooperation in case of establishing a free trade area between Ukraine and the EU. This was reported by press secretary of Azarov Vitaliy Lukyanenko.

"There will be discussed topical issues of bilateral relations. There are proposals on the settlement of customs disputes," Lukyanenko said.

He noted that the CIS Executive Committee offered Ukraine and Russia its support in the matter.
Lukyanenko also noted that Ukraine considers impossible to oppose a free trade area with the CIS and the EU.

"Both of them are important for Ukraine. So we as partners should agree on the regimes, which arise in case of operation of one FTA or another. They are not opposed, since both are based on the principles of the WTO. This suggests that the decision will be found," Lukyanenko said.
