Israel is interested in the work force from Ukraine and plans to sign the relevant interstate agreement with Ukraine, deputy interior minister of Israel Faina Kirshenbaum told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

She recalled that there is visa-free regime between Ukraine and Israel since 2011. According to her, during this time the flow of tourists has increased two-fold. However, the number of illegal migrant workers has also increased.

"Today in Israel there are about 5 thousand illegal immigrants from Ukraine," she said.

Kirshenbaum noted that during the visit of the delegation of the Interior Ministry of Israel to Ukraine it is planned to discuss with the Ukrainian authorities the possibility of signing a bilateral agreement between Ukraine and Israel on exchange of labor personnel.

"Israel is interested in employees from Ukraine to work in agriculture, construction, and especially in medicine," she said.

Interior Ministry representative also said that the program of the visit provides for series of interagency meetings to coordinate security cooperation, including with the aim of establishing relations in the field of biometrics and control over migration processes.
