Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov connects problems in trade relations with Russia with the formation and structuring of the Customs Union.
"We believe that the current difficulties are associated, above all, with formation, structuring and formalization of the Customs Union. We have differences in approach," he told reporters on Thursday in Luhansk.
The Prime Minister urged the media not to "artificially inflate and exaggerate the situation".
"Our media exaggerate the topic of alleged conflict. Yes, there is a problem, but these problems should not be artificially inflated and artificially exaggerated," Azarov said.
The Prime Minister expressed belief that solution to this problem lies in the coordination of the positions of the two countries.
"This work is not easy, but it certainly will be effective. We strongly believe in this," the head of government said.
Once again he stated that Ukraine's cooperation with the European Union and its cooperation with the Customs Union should not be opposed.
"We have no alternative. We will develop our cooperation both with Europe and with the countries of the Customs Union," Azarov added.
