New U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Viktor Maiko on Wednesday, August 7, according to the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Interfax reports.
“Ambassador Pyatt looks forward to his credentialing ceremony with [Ukrainian] President [Viktor] Yanukovych,” the embassy said in a press release issued on Wednesday.
As reported, Pyatt arrived in Kyiv on August 3, 2013 as the eighth United States Ambassador to Ukraine.
