Ecological environment was not affected after the accident occurred at plant No. 1 of PJSC Stirol Concern on Tuesday, vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boiko stated on August 7, the press service of Horlivka City Council reported.
He also noted that this accident was one of the most severe that occurred in recent years in the chemical industry.
"Therefore, the task of the government commission is to identify ways to avoid such accidents in the future, as well as to assist the victims and bereaved families. We are focused on this," the official said.
The deputy Prime Minister also noted that the ecological environment of the city was not affected.
