Collection of early and leguminous crops is expected to be completed on August 10, agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Because of high rates of the crop collection we managed to achieve high figures. Thus, we can predict that we will fully complete harvesting crops on August 10," he said.

The minister stressed that there are some concerns about rains in the western regions of Ukraine.

However, Prysiazhniuk added that "we hope that in the near future rains will be over, and harvesting crops will be completed as soon as possible."

"As of yesterday, July 31, 90% of the planned gathering areas were thrashed, and 28 million tons of grain were harvested," he said.
