Ukrainian government will consider a possibility of providing government guarantees for the joint investment project of the Kherson Machine-Building Plant and the CLAAS company on production of modern harvesters, first vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The government is ready to support a joint investment project of the Kherson Machine-Building Plant and CLAAS company to produce modern harvesters. Co-production has already begun," Arbuzov said.

"The first test harvesters left the assembly line. The planned volume of production in 2020 is 7688 units, including in 2013 - 350 units. CLAAS company plans to invest in the project funds of $ 1.7 billion UAH," he said.

The first vice PM asked agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk and economic development and trade minister Ihor Prasolov to examine the conditions of the project and to consider the possibility of granting state guarantees.
