Ukrainian deputy Prime Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko has left on a working visit to Libya to establish a constructive bilateral dialogue, the minister’s press service reported.

"Today, on July 31, on the instructions of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Kostiantyn Hryschenko left on a working visit to Tripoli," the press service informed.

He said that the Ukrainian deputy Prime Minister was to meet with the leadership of Libya’s legislature, the General National Congress and the country’s government and Foreign Ministry, Interfax-Ukraine informed.

"Hryschenko’s visit is the first visit of such level to Libya since 2011 and is dictated by the need to establish and strengthen a constructive dialogue with the Libyan authorities," the deputy Prime Minister’s spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov said.

According to him, the deputy Premier plans to discuss the topical issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, humanitarian and other areas.
