Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed infrastructure minister Volodymyr Kozak to provide uninterrupted railway transportation of passengers during the summer and to speed up the work on the repair of roads, the press service of the head of state reported.

During a meeting with the minister in Crimea, the President stressed the importance of providing passenger transportation in full, especially at the end of the vacation period.

"Such task has been set, and we will fulfill it," Kozak said after the meeting.

According to him, the parties also discussed the modernization and construction of new roads.

In addition, the head of state and the infrastructure minister discussed the reforming of Ukrainian seaports.

"The President drew attention to the fact that all social benefit, which employees used to have, should be preserved and even increased," Kozak said.

He noted that all issues related to the reform of ports will be discussed with representatives of trade unions.
