First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov requires a two-week deadline to resolve the problem of issuance of passports for travelling abroad.

"Unfortunately, in the midst of the holiday season many of our citizens face the problem of timely issuance of passports. This situation is unacceptable. I draw the attention of the Interior Ministry and the State Migration Service to the need for continuous monitoring of the presence of foreign passports in all regions of Ukraine, as well as the timely provision of migration service with required number of forms," he stated, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

Arbuzov noted that since yesterday the number of queues in the Migration Service departments has declined. "Such a trend should be kept. Regular production and issuance of passports is to be restored within two weeks. I will keep this issue under personal control," he concluded.
