The NATO Support Agency (NSPA) signed the implementation agreement on reburial of radioactive waste, which remained on the territory of Ukraine since Soviet times and now is in a special concrete bunkers.

"The relevant documents have already been transferred to the Cabinet of Ministers. We expect their consideration in the near future," the NSPA project manager in Ukraine Vasyl Lytvynchuk informed.

According to him, the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry may acquire authority to sign the implementation agreement. "We are now at the stage of signing of the political agreement. - Lytvynchuk explained. - The country to make the main contribution and politically support the project is defined. It will be Germany".

Only after the agreement is signed, the contract documents and the project, which will describe technology, time and resources required for its implementation, will be worked out.
