Half a billion hryvnia are necessary to repair all the roads, head of the State Road Agency "Ukravtodor" Yevhen Prusenko told press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"In order to repair the roads, to carry out at least average repairs, we need at least 500 billion UAH. This is more than the annual budget of Ukraine," he said.
According to him, the repair of all Ukrainian roads will take about 10 years.
"However, if we talk about the most damaged areas, I am sure that within 5-6 years of constant hard work of the annual repairs at least of 10-12 thousand kilometers of public roads, we could significantly improve the condition of the road network and work on maintaining it in good condition in future," Prusenko noted.
He also informed that to date, the total length of the road network in need of repair is 90% - almost 145 thousand km.
