Export surplus in Ukraine increased in Ukraine in the first half of 2013, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The first half of 2013 was characterized by rising export surplus. According to the NBU, for 5 months the trade deficit declined by $ 2 billion. Rise in retail sales in January-May of this year up 13% compared to the same period last year was observed," he said.
According to Azarov, an increase in the production of agricultural products by 5% is also observed this year.
"Keeping a low price dynamics was also registered. For 2013, prices have risen by 0.2%. There was an increase in real wages at about 10%," PM noted.
