Mykhailo Okhendovsky has been appointed head of Central Election Commission(CEC), according to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent.
Some 11 of the 14 members of the Central Election Committee present at a commission meeting on July 6 voted for his candidacy by secret ballot, CEC member Ihor Zhidenko is on vacation.
Two ballots were declared invalid because they did not have any notes, one more ballot included a mark opposite the line “do not support any candidate.”
The secret ballot included only one name – Mykhailo Okhendovsky.
