In May, the unemployment rate in Ukraine fell to 1.8% of the total working population from 1.9% in April, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reports.
In absolute figures, the number of unemployed people amounted to 501 thousand people in May against 534.7 thousand in April.
The number of unemployed persons receiving benefits totaled 384.3 thousand people in May against 408.5 thousand in April. The average amount of monthly payments increased by three UAH and amounted to 1119 UAH in May.
