The President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych could extend the term of office of head of the Central Election Commission Volodymyr Shapoval, if he appealed with the corresponding request, deputy from the Party of Regions Anatoliy Blyzniuk said in an interview with the TV channel.
"The CEC head turned 65 years, it is the maximum period of stay (of a state employee on duty. - Ed.), and the President decided to substitute him. This is a technical question. Do not make politics out of this," the MP said.
