President’s commissioner for children's rights Yuri Pavlenko stated that death of 10-year-old girl in the health camp is regarded as a failure to comply with orders of the President, and Yanukovych will be harsh to respond to violations, identified during inspection of a sanitary institution.
He recalled that in early May, Viktor Yanukovych instructed the central and local authorities to ensure the quality and safety of children’s summer holidays this year.
Pavlenko noted that on May 31 he addressed the Interior Ministry and the General Prosecutor's Office to ensure a full and impartial investigation into the death of a child in the Crimean health camp for no officer, responsible and complicit in the tragedy, to escape punishment.
In addition, Pavlenko said that he appealed to the leadership of Crimea and Lviv region with a request to provide support to families of children, who also suffered in that health camp.
"President will take tough measures in every case of detection of violation in activity of a sanitary institution," children's ombudsman said.
Pavlenko added that heads of regional state administrations and officials of the Social Policy Ministry bear personal responsibility for leisure and health of children in summer camps.
