Last year, 1.2 million people left Ukraine to work abroad. And they earned by three times more than an average Ukrainian person, deputy head of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine Natalia Vlasenko stated, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to her, the half of migrants went to work to the Russian Federation and the other half - to the EU.

"Last year, the migration flows from Ukraine to the EU decreased. This happened due to the crisis in the EU, and many employers refused services of our citizens," she said.

Among the migrants, according to Vlasenko, two thirds were men and one third - women. At the same time, men begin looking for work abroad starting from 25 years and women - from 30. But at the same time, women often leave the country at the pre-retirement age (from 40 to 50 years).

The survey showed that most Ukrainians forced to leave their homes because of low salaries (79%) and lack of suitable work in accordance with their qualifications (11%).

According to her, the Russian Federation, Poland, Italy, Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Portugal and Belarus were the most attractive countries for Ukrainian migrant workers.
