In Kyiv, during the period from January 1 to May 1, 2013, the debt for housing and communal services and energy supply increased by 25%, deputy director of the KCSA housing and communal infrastructure department Volodymyr Bazhenov said during the meeting of the KCSA board, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We approached 1.5 billion UAH of debt. If we have a decrease of about 1% in gas, water and electricity supply, then the heat debt increased by 260 million USD. In this structure, about 800 million UAH are debts of population, 300 million - debts of tenants, 30 million - debts of public sector and 440 - decompensated difference in accruals," he informed.

In addition, he said that a lawsuit work is being carried out now with those who refuse to pay for the consumption of services.
