The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading a draft law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine (on implementation of the Action Plan on liberalization of the EU visa regime for Ukraine concerning the liability of legal entities)."
301 out of 385 deputies registered in the session hall voted for this decision.
As it is noted in the explanatory memorandum, the law is aimed to ensure the implementation of recommendations of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL), as well as to address issues on implementation of a number of international treaties of Ukraine to establish the liability of legal persons.
This law introduces amendments to the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and the laws "On principles of prevention and combating corruption" and "On ensuring the safety of those involved in criminal proceedings."
