About one million UAH will be allocated from the city budget to celebrate the Day of Kyiv, head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov said at the extended staff meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We will spend about one million UAH to celebrate the Day of Kyiv, but the basic expenses associated with holding a concert at the Independence Square will be made by sponsors," he said.
This year, according to director of the cultural department of the KCSA Svitlana Zorina, a concert of classical music will be held at St. Sophia's Square, which will end with the traditional 3D-show, dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Kievan Rus.
The Spivoche Pole (Singing field) will host a folk art festival, which will bring together amateur choirs of the capital, Kyiv region and other regions of Ukraine.
In addition, open days will be held in all municipal museums of the city, everyone will be able to visit them for free.
In total, according to Zorina, more than 80 cultural activities will be carried out in Kyiv.
