There are no technical problems for implementation of the LNG Terminal national project, chairman of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects Vladyslav Kaskiv said during international LNG conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"In accordance with the agreement, signed on April 16, 2013 in Houston, technical groups of American and Polish experts will arrive next week in Odesa port "Yuzhny". Already on July 10 we will be able to announce a technical report about the possibility of installing FSRU-platform within the port water area," he said.

According to Kaskiv, this will open the way for the signing of the agreement on technical placement of marine plant with a total capacity of up to 5 billion cubic meters in the middle of next year and get the first batches of liquefied gas provided it is connected to the gas transportation system of Ukraine.

Chairman of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects also informed that the second phase of the project, according to the decision of the government, involves the construction of the ground terminal till 2018 with total capacity of 20 billion cubic meters.

"According to the national action plan, we intend to reach these decisions in June. The only obstacle to the implementation of the project may be just another political decision," Kaskiv said.
