The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment lacks 14.5 million UAH for holding external independent testing (EIT), director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment Iryna Zaitseva told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Unfortunately now we have a significant deficit for priority needs. 63.2 million UAH are needed to pay wages for testing centers staff. To date, we have only 56.4 million UAH. There is a shortage of 6.8 million UAH," she said.

According to her, the necessary documents have been already filed to the Finance Ministry and will soon be considered in the Verkhovna Rada.

Zaitseva also stressed at least 14.5 million UAH are needed to cover all the needs of the Center. She said that the printing technique of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment has long been worn out. However, she assured that all tests will be printed accurately.

"I would not like to say that holding EIT will be under threat if we lack the required sum, but I think it will ruin its image much. I hope the authorities understand this pretty well," she summed up.
