In 2013, Ukraine plans to import 30-32.5 billion cubic meters of gas, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky told a news conference after talks in Brussels on the development of the gas market of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.

The minister noted that these figures are laid in the balance of the gas to be passed with the financial plan of "Naftogaz of Ukraine". Stavytsky stressed that this document will be approved next week.

According to him, the issue was discussed today by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. "All the relevant central authorities got the last order of the Prime Minister to complete all the procedures within seven days to approve a final decision on the financial plan. I think the decision will be made next week," he said.

"The gas consumption will be reduced due to energy efficiency. It will be about 8-8.5 billion cubic meters of gas for the chemical industry, and from 22-24 billion cubic meters of gas for other industries," the minister stressed.
