Ukraine expects high level of fire risk due to increase in temperature, director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, an increase in temperature up to +29-30°C is expected in Ukraine on May 17-18.
"As of today, the level of fire risk in the north of Luhansk region amounts to 15-16 thousand points. It exceeds the maximum level by about three times," the director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center explained.
Kulbida noted that on May 19-23, the country expects cold snap, but it's a long-term forecast, which may be not confirmed.
