About 100 thousand law enforcement officers are expected to maintain public order during the May holidays.
As the Interior Ministry press service informs, the operations headquarters will work around the clock to monitor the situation in the regions.
On May 1-2, 550 events, involving more than 260 thousand people, are scheduled. About 6.5 million law enforcement officers will ensure the protection of public order and public safety these days.
At Easter, it is planned to involve more than 30 thousand police officers and four thousand soldiers of the Interior Ministry troops for law enforcement. Of these, 1.7 thousand will be on duty in the capital.
On May 9, public order in the state will be provided by 30 thousand policemen. They will also guard the memorials, graves, obelisks and monuments, near which the celebrations are planned.
