Within the presidential national program on work safety, 60 million hryvnias will be allocated for improvement of working conditions and prevention of occupational diseases, first deputy chair of the State service of mining control and industrial safety Viktor Shaitai told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We do need this program. We have been working on it for two years, and it should finally bring results. Almost 60 million hryvnias have been allocated for the project," he said.

Moreover, the program also include such measures as development of recommendations on prevention of occupational diseases of rescuers, determination of the level of occupational diseases at mining, metallurgic, oil and gas extraction, engineering enterprises.

The program also provides for study of occupational risk factors, occurrence of fatal accidents and a number of measures on occupational radiation exposure.
