Signing of the Association Agreement and establishment of a free trade area between Ukraine and the EU should take place during the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius in November, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during a meeting with Polish foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski, Lithuanian foreign minister Linas Linkevičius, Dutch foreign minister Frans Timmermans and Danish minister for European affairs Nicolai Wammen, the press service of the head of state reports.
"I am confident that our efforts will lead to success. We hope that the Association Agreement and establishment of a free trade area will be signed in November in Vilnius," the President stressed.
The head of state noted that Ukraine appreciates the assistance of its European partners in issues on integration into the EU.
"We extremely appreciate the assistance of our friends, friends of Ukraine, in matters of European integration. I'm pleased to note that your visit today indicates that we are doing this thing together. I'm also pleased to note that the Netherlands and Denmark joined us," he said.
