In connection with the report of a possible substantial increase in fines, the Interior Ministry informed that employees of the State Traffic Police may soon disappear from the Ukrainian roads.

It is reported that they will be replaced by so-called "automated control systems for road safety", head of the center for road safety at the Interior Ministry Serhiy Budnik said.

"We are very seriously working on ways to eliminate the subjective factor," Budnik noted.

Earlier, the Interior Ministry has proposed the Parliament to increase fines to drivers. In particular, the fine for not fastening a seat belt will increase most: from 51-85 UAH up to 170-340 UAH, for failure to fulfill demands of the Interior Ministry officials – up to 1.020 UAH for ordinary drivers and up to 1.700 UAH for officials, for illegal toning – up to 680 hryvnia.
