11 billion UAH will be allocated for the implementation of Chernobyl programs in 2013, social policy minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska said during her working visit to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exclusion zone, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The state budget 2013 provides for 11 billion UAH. It's 6 billion more than in 2009," the minister said.

According to her, this amount will be distributed among all Chernobyl programs: pensions, food, medical treatment, rehabilitation and housing.

Korolevska stressed that these funds are not sufficient, since the full implementation of all programs needs 88 billion UAH. "This is about a third of the budget. So far, our main objective is to use these 11 billion UAH in the most effective way," the social policy minister summed up.
