Kyiv District Administrative Court has dismissed a lawsuit by Serhiy Horbatov, who asked the court to oblige the Central Election Commission to cancel its decision to register MP Yuriy Odarchenko of the Batkivschyna faction as a member of the Verkhovna Rada of the 7th convocation and deprive him of his parliamentary mandate.
Presiding Judge Luibov Marulina announced this ruling on Wednesday, Interfax informs.
The full text of the ruling will be announced in five days.
Odarchenko said on April 13 that on April 17, Kyiv's District Administrative Court would consider a case to strip him of his mandate. He said that the case was based on a complaint lodged by citizen Horbatov that Odarchenko was registered as an MP in violation of the law, since he was a member of a limited liability company at the time of registration.
