The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine intends to adopt the necessary legal framework for implementation of the tasks set for our country to sign an Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak said during a meeting with the co-speakers of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on compliance with the duties and obligations by members of the Council of Europe, the press service of the Parliament reports.

He noted that the deputies will consider seven bills on European integration during the current plenary week, and the Parliament plans to adopt a number of legislative acts to fulfill obligations to the EU by the end of May.

Rybak also expressed hope that the Association Agreement will be signed during the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius in November of 2013.

Rybak also spoke about the current situation in Parliament at the request of the co-rapporteurs. According to him, the work of the supreme legislative body was complicated due to its blocking, but now the situation has returned to normal.

"The situation has improved, and I am convinced that the Verkhovna Rada will work. And we are not going to dissolve the Parliament," Rybak noted.
