Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has raised the forecast regarding the maximum level of spring flooding in Kyiv, but these processes should not cause the damage to the city, director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We have reviewed the forecast regarding the maximum level of spring flooding in Kyiv. We raise the maximum level in Kyiv up to 730 - maximum 740 cm above the conventional zero, despite the fact that the average level over a period of years is 715 cm," Kulbida said.

According to the forecaster, the flooding threatens islands on the Dnieper River and some garden plots.
