The Party of Regions faction does not intend to nullify lists, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Why should we take responsibility for those stupid actions, made by the opposition?" he said.

In addition, Yefremov noted that Ukrainians will be against early elections. "This is not supported by the majority of the population in our state. It also requires huge expenses. After all, we just finished elections. Summing up all these factors, we see no reason to raise the issue," he stressed.
Yefremov said that the issue of Parliament may be put to a referendum to find way out of parliamentary crisis.

"If such outrage continues, we should do something. It is clear that the current composition of Parliament will not find a way out. We must negotiate. The only tool in this issue is referendum. According to the law on the referendum, public opinion should be incorporated in the legislation. The President should do it. However, as far as I know, no decision has been taken on this issue," leader of the Party of Regions faction said.

Yefremov said that the issues, to be put to a referendum, are also discussed. Some legislators and lawyers believe appropriate to reduce the number of members of the Parliament.

"I think that population will support it," he said and added that the question of what the Parliament should be, unicameral or bicameral, is also discussed and a consensus view has not been found yet.
