Cases of flooding in 68 settlements in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Chernihiv regions and the city of Kyiv were registered in Ukraine during last twenty-four hours, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine press office informs.
In general, 230 rescuers and 72 units of pumping equipment were involved in providing assistance to the population to pump water out from the houses and adjoining territories. During the day, 20.476 thousand cubic meters of water were pumped out. Since April 2, 50.892.3 thousand cubic meters of water were pumped out in general.
As of April 5, 07 a.m., no significant rainfall is expected on most of the territory of Ukraine. Precipitation in the form of light rain is observed in Kyiv, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Chernihiv regions and the city of Kyiv.
