Ukraine hopes to increase the transit of Kazakh oil by five million tons, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky told journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.

"I would like the more, the better. However, if we agree on five million tons a year, then I will consider it an achievement. This is in addition to what we already have," Stavytsky said.

"We already have the transit (of Kazakh oil - Ed.). The Feodosia transshipment works at full capacity. We get good amounts," Stavytsky said.

When asked by journalists whether the transit of Kazakh oil through Ukraine will increase, the minister said: "We hope so. I and infrastructure minister are discussing the possible preferences.
We also plan to involve the Odesa Refinery, launched last week," the minister said, noting that not only Kazakh oil will be processed there.
