The talks between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund can advance this week, first deputy head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine Iryna Akimova told press conference yesterday, ForUm correspondent reported.

"The IMF mission started work last week and will work another week ... The main task now is to bring together our positions, which were previously worked out during the last IMF technical mission more than six weeks ago. Our opinion is that we have the potential to bring these positions together," Akimova said.

However, she acknowledged that there are issues in discussions with the IMF, which require additional coordination, in particular those in terms of fiscal and monetary policy.

"However, I think that this week will allow us to advance significantly," first deputy head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine assured.
