The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine failed to appoint the election of the Kyiv City Council members and the mayor of Kyiv on June 2, ForUm correspondent reports.

In particular, when the speaker Volodymyr Rybak put a resolution on the appointment of date of elections in Kyiv to vote in the second reading, only 209 MPs supported the draft. In particular, the Party of Regions gave three votes, the Batkivshchyna faction - 91 votes, the UDAR Party faction – 41 votes, the Svoboda faction – 36 votes, the CPU faction – 21 votes, individual MPs – 17 votes.

After that, at the request of the opposition, Rybak adjourned the Parliament’s sitting for 30 minutes.
