Ukraine proceeds to the second phase of the Action Plan on visa liberalization with the EU, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak said in Warsaw, at the meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania.

The head of the Ukrainian parliament called visa-free regime an important aspect of European integration of Ukraine, noting that the Ukrainian government continues implementing the agreed plan, the implementation of which will allow the Ukrainians to travel to the EU without a visa in future.

Rybak named entry into force of the law on biometric passports among the latest advances.

"In this regard, I would like to emphasize that in fact we have already started to implement the requirements of the second phase of the action plan (on visa-free regime with the EU) – we implement legislative, strategic and program documents," the speaker said.
