Kyiv and Brussels will soon hold a high level round table meeting, during which they will discuss the issue on gas transportation consortium, Ukraine's fuel and energy minister Eduard Stavytsky said in an interview with Ukrainian journalists in Brussels after his meeting with European Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger.

Stavytsky noted that working groups are currently agreeing the time and place for this round table. "I understand that everything will be agreed within two weeks. But I am 100% sure that it will take place," the Ukrainian minister said.

He also said that the round table would focus on the format of a possible consortium to manage the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS), whether it will be trilateral (EU-Ukraine-Russia) or bilateral (Ukraine-Russia), as Russia insists.

"Wait for a round table, everything will be there," he told the reporters, Interfax-Ukraine informs.

Answering the question whether they discussed at the meeting the issue of the Energy Community and Ukraine's possible exit from the organization, Stavytsky said: "I want to stress that we have discussed the implementation of the recent Ukraine-EU agreements, which were reached in February of this year and the application of practical steps we need to take to implement all the reached agreements."
