Currently, 63 settlements remain de-energized in Ukraine, director of emergency response department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Hryhoriy Marchenko told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, work on eliminating consequences of the adverse weather conditions continues. "In general, traffic has been already resumed on the major highways, every hour the situation is getting better," he said.

Marchenko noted that now all the efforts aimed at the restoration of movement in all the streets of Kyiv.

According to him, enough forces are involved in coping with this task to do it in the shortest possible time. "At the moment the movement has been fully restored in six main directions of entrance and departure from Kyiv: Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Obukhiv, Odesa, Zhytomyr and Kherson.

Marchenko added that during the period of March 22-24, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine provided assistance to 15 thousand 570 cars and 29 thousand 617 drivers and passengers throughout Ukraine.
