91.5% of sown areas with winter crops are in good condition, director of the department for financial and credit policy of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine Bagrat Ahidzhanov told a round table, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, the areas of underdeveloped crops amount to 8.5%. "Compared to the last year, this is a bit better figure - 1.5%," he noted.
Ahidzhanov said that according to preliminary data, the areas of spring crops will amount to 27.6 million hectares in 2013 that is by 0.4% more compared with 2012.
In addition, he noted that the Ukrainian agricultural farmers and agribusinesses are provided with seeds by 102%, in particular, with seeds of wheat by 103%, barley - 101% and buckwheat - 106%.
The credit demand for spring field work, according to Ahidzhanov, will number 39 billion UAH in 2013 that is by 1.7 billion UAH more than last year.
