Summer flights niche, which occurred due to bankruptcy of the Aerosvit Airlines, will be completely filled, transport minister Volodymyr Kozak told a briefing after the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The commission has already considered the issue. Those applications, which were filed by other companies, are 100% satisfied. I note that the AeroSvit does not work for two months, but passenger traffic has increased by 1.6%. The niche is filled by other companies. The summer schedule will be also stabilized soon," Kozak said.

The minister also noted that all the requests of the relevant trade union will be considered.

In particular, there was taken into account the request not to hire foreign pilots, while Ukrainian ones are unemployed after the Aerosvit’s bankruptcy.

"The former employees of AeroSvit are highly skilled specialists and their demands are quite legitimate," the minister summed up.
